A Personal Injury Lawyer Explains: Are my Medical Bills and Attorney Fees combined?
Your medical bills are separate from your attorney fees. Although your attorney fees are based on the “No Fee, No Recovery” concept your medical bills are your responsibility. If you went to the emergency room after your accident and they issued you a bill; the bill is your responsibility and we cannot waive it because it is not our bill to waive. However, when you sign a contract with a Personal Injury attorney, you give us the permission to pay the medical providers back from the settlement or judgment that you receive at the end.
